October 31

"And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage." Acts 28:15

If you are not able to go and invite the people to hear the Gospel, you can give a word of cheer to others, and wish them Godspeed. Many a time when I have come down from the pulpit, some old man, trembling on the verge of another world, living perhaps on borrowed time, has caught hold of my hand, and in a quavering voice said,

"God bless you!"

How the words have cheered and helped me! You can speak a word of encouragement to younger friends, if you are too feeble to work yourselves.
